Exhibit A: A live python ends up in the ring of a Mixed Martial Arts fight. Just another night on the MMA circuit.
Fight nights at the Irvine Marriott are always a colorful spectacle and the SpringFest 2009 mixed martial arts event held Saturday was no different.
The fans who turned out were as much a part of the show as the combatants in the ring.
Close to 1,200 were on hand for the six-fight card, including the requisite ring girls, lovely models hawking beer and T-shirts, dudes who just like watching a good fight and ladies who just seem to have a thing for guys twisting and punching the guts out of each other.
There is nothing like being there in person but for those who couldn't make it, our roving photographer captured the night's festivities.
