In front of an expected sell-out crowd of 1,412 fight fans, Roy Englebrecht Promotions showcased its heaviest fight card in 25 years as fans enjoyed yet another exciting evening of professional boxing at the Irvine Marriott. With the success of professional debuters as well as other action packed fights, Roy Englebrecht Promotions continues to display its title as “The Biggest Little Boxing Show in America.”

In the Main Event, fan favorite and undefeated lightweight Arquimendez Garcia (4-0-1) won a unanimous decision over Johnny Frazier (2-2-1) with all three scorecards reading (39-37). In a contest filled with multiple combos and stiff jabs from both fighters, Garcia remained the busier in an action packed scrap as both fighters showed much respect for one another. The fight ended with both fighters swinging for the fences, with Garcia winning in what could have been considered the fight of the night.

In a women’s middleweight contest of pro debuters, Freddy Roach trained Mia Etelapelto (1-0) won a unanimous decision over debuter Mia Henderson (0-1). Both women came out swinging in the first round, having the sold-out crowd on their feet. The slugfest continued with Etelapelto going on to win by scores of (40-36), as she was in control for the majority of fight.

Undefeated heavyweight Joe Hanks (8-0) battered previously unbeaten Hildo Silva (4-1-2), dropping him in round one. The game Silva made it to the end of the round, but the referee and ring physician agreed he was in no condition to continue. Hanks was awarded the TKO at the end of the round.

Making his professional debut, heavyweight Scott Alexander (1-0) stopped fellow pro debuter Jesus Hernandez (0-1) in the second round. A devastating right hand ended the contest at 2:18 of the round, as Hernandez lay out on his back. In standard "Battle in the Ballroom" fashion, one lucky fan took home $200 in a special prize giveaway.

Light heavyweight Tyrell Hendrix (3-0-1) remained unbeaten as he won a unanimous decision over previously unbeaten Ramon Camacho (1-1). Hendrix had Camacho down in the first round, as he went on to win by scores of (39-36) twice and (40-35). Hendrix was awarded and extra $100 as a part of the “Fans You Be the Judge” giveaway.

In the opening bout and also making his professional debut, heavyweight Lionel Davis (1-0) needed just 76 seconds of the very first round to knock out Mike Finney (1-6). A big overhand right caused the fight to be waved off immediately, as Finney was clearly unable to continue.
